Every now and then, someone from our team travels abroad and spends their savings on skincare. The shopping process begins a year earlier by browsing the internet and carefully compiling a list. This goes in hand with excessive drooling and the eternal hope that these products will someday be available in our country. One could even conclude that buying cosmetics is the main purpose of the trip. And who could blame them when everything in Sephora is so shiny and new. And the people who work there are so cool and friendly. Oh, and all that packaging. Ugh... If only we could live in Sephora. This time it was Mateja's turn to travel to New York and bring home news (and skincare) from the Big Apple. She spent her hard-earned money on "world wide web's top- rated products ".

First Aid Oatmeal Mask
"Because it is intended for irritated skin, I usually use it directly after an acid peel. It really calms my skin and brings it back to its happy state. Ten minutes after application, I wash it off and then actually leave my skin bare. No creams, not serum, nothing. I feel like it really nourishes the skin and leaves a feeling of comfort. No sign of tightness whatsoever. Another plus is that it smells like cake. It makes me want to eat it. Well, maybe that's not a plus."

Paula's Choice CALM Redness Relief 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant
"My first Paula's Choice product and since I'm super pleased with it, probably not the last. The lotion contains salicylic acid (BHA), which is gentle enough for my sensitive skin. I apply it every night after the tonic, my skin absorbs it instantly and finally I feel like most of the product stays on my face and not on my pillow. I wake up in the morning with angel like skin. I really want to know what other Paula's Choice products can do. "

Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner
"So many polarizing opinions about toners. Some adore them, others find them completely useless. But the Thayer ones are legendary for a reason. Plus, if something has been around since 1847, almost unchanged, then it must be good. The Rose Petal variant really smells stunning, does not leave a sticky film and is completely absorbed. Really nice for layering all further products. And the price is also great! "

Dr. Jart Cicapair ™ Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum
"The best thing in fingting against redness. Holy cow! It makes the most striking difference on my broken capillaries. It's great as a base too, as it absorbs nicely and leaves no traces. It's a lighter and more lubricant version of their cream from the same line. The price is a little less pleasant, but its effectiveness definitely outweighs it. "

Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo
"A product that contains my 3 favorite words: beach, volume and dry shampoo. Not to mention the coconut scent. Heaven, mmm ... My hair has tested many dry shampoos and this one is certainly one of the best. It adds volume, seriously degreases and combs out nicely without leaving white marks. My hair is dark brown and white spots are a total no-go."
